Anarchaeologies intervened in the antechamber table at El Imparcial with a material fiction that could be touched, observed and approached from different angles. The works appeared as remains of an imagined civilisation or fragments sent from an uncertain future: some asserted themselves as relics, while others seemed to soften, retaining the memory of water.
The series combines gathered clays, recycled metals, stones and experimental glazes. Brenda Ranieri does not excavate to fix what once was, but to listen to what matter may still become. The kiln, fire and uncertainty all participate in shaping each form. Installed on a table normally intended for gathering, the work transformed the space into a shared, mutable landscape.
